1. Approving Posts & Listings

If your site contains forms or authorship tools, you will receive email requests to approve a submitted post, business listing, or events calendar entry.

You can approve this by going to the associated navigation section in the backed, usually one of the below:

  • Posts
  • Directory
  • Calendar

Then look for a filter link titled Pending near the top of the screen. Click this to see all posts awaiting your review & approval.

Click the post to review it, make any changes necessary, and then uncheck the box titled Pending Review and click Publish.

Tip: If you don’t see a box titled Pending Review, you may need to open the Settings pane by clicking the second icon from the left in the top-right. If this icon is already highlighted, try clicking to the first tab next to the one titled Block.

2. Reviewing The Original Submission

Usually you’ll receive an email with all of the submission information, if you don’t have it you can review it by going to Forms -> Entries and choosing your submission form from the dropdown.

3. Handling Additional Contacts & Complex Hours

These instructions only apply if your website supports business listings and the submission you’re reviewing is a business listing.

If someone has submitted a business or event to your website and has extra contacts or hours beyond what the form can handle, you’ll see information provided by the customer in the box titled Additional Information, you’ll need to manually add this information into the business or event data tabs on the post for it to display.
